The first visit to the dentist is usually short and simple, and it should be fun, enjoyable, and most of all, positive! The best thing for your child is to stay positive! The more that you and your child know about their first visit to the dentist, the better both of you will feel. Children are not born with a fear of the dentist, but rather the fear of the unknown.

Dr. Lynn uses gentle, non-frightening, and simple words to describe your child's first dental visit and treatment. We want you and your child to be comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. He will focus mostly on getting to know your child and giving you basic dental care information. Then, he will check your child's teeth for placement and health, and look for any potential problems with the gums and jaw.

If necessary, Dr. Lynn may clean your child's teeth, complete a fluoride treatment, and take x-rays. Also, any questions or concerns you may have will be addressed and you will receive materials providing more information.
